Nipple Piercing
The nipple piercing is one of the most beautiful classics ever. One or both nipples, with rods or rings, and they can be beautifully decorated. A piercing for private or public, similar to intimate jewellery that you only show consciously. The attraction and pleasure of showing it to yourself and selected people is all the greater.
Healing
The healing of a nipple piercing is usually problem-free, but rel. slow and lasts 6–12 weeks. Also depends on the size of the nipple and the channel distance. Nipples are sensitive to excessive mechanical irritation. Don’t play with it too much and too hard! Inflammation can also occur months to years later after healing.
Pierce with local anesthetic
To get pierced is only pleasant with local anaesthesia (personal recommendation!) and then only slightly painful. The nipples are one of the most painful and sensitive parts of the body! Pierced nipples tend to be stiffer and more sensitive later on, and are generally more erogenous than before. Sometimes not feasible in men with very small and flat warts.
Nipple piercings are also a “cure” for inverted nipples (or crater nipples) or a therapy for inverted nipples. See under inverted nipples
Breastfeed still possible?
Important for women: the ability to breastfeed after a nipple piercing is not impaired or damaged. From the milk ducts there is a whole bundle. A few are hit while stabbing. The majority are unaffected, and the breast remains fully functional. The piercing must be removed for breastfeeding. The piercing opening is lost, but can be re-pierced.
